Velvet Revolver
I must say after seeing the video and hearing some of the songs, I think this is going to do very well.
Unlike Axl's miserable failed comeback, I think this will be successful. Slash, Duff, Matt, Kushner and Weiland all look in excellent shape and don't look haggered. The music from what I've heard so far is pretty kickin'. The video for Slither looks really good as well. I think if Weiland can keep it together and the band gets a good push from the label, it'll do very well.
I give them kudos for doing it right.
You can check out some acoustic tunes done the other day and the full video here.
any thoughts?

Scott Weiland-Stone Temple Pilots
I would be worried but 1) he was probably in a glam/hair band before going grunge and 2) dude knows what side his bread is buttered on. He'll sing accordingly.

I didn't like what little I've heard, but I do think if Scott can stay clean and they can not sound like a STP ripoff then they do have a very good shot.

I was never a fan of STP,but I do recall that I thougt that every single I heard by them early on was another band.LSD,Alice in Chains, and Redd Kross are the first ones that come to mind. What I've heard from Velvet Revolver hasn't done much for me yet.

I liked Set Me Free but I agree with Ash concerning Slither. Not happening here.
